Refund & Cancellation Policy

📌 Important — Please Read Before Purchasing

All sales are final. No refunds are available for any ServSafe courses, exams, online products, or books. However, in-person classes and exams can be rescheduled for free within 90 days. Please read the full policy below before making your purchase.

1. In-Person Classes & Proctored Exams

This section applies to the following products:

ServSafe Classroom Training & Exam ($150)
ServSafe Proctored Exam Only ($99)
ServSafe Onsite Group Training ($169/person)

Refunds

No refunds are available for any in-person classes or proctored exams, regardless of the reason for non-attendance. This policy applies to all payment methods including credit/debit card, cash, and check.

Rescheduling

If you miss your scheduled class or exam, you may reschedule for free within 90 days of your original booking date. To reschedule:

• Call us at 978-710-0128, or

• Email hello@bostonfoodsafety.com with your name and original booking date

After 90 days, your booking will expire with no refund and no further rescheduling.

No-Shows

If you do not attend your scheduled class or exam and do not contact us to reschedule within 90 days, your booking will be forfeited. No refund or credit will be issued.

2. Onsite Group Training

This section applies to ServSafe Onsite Group Training ($169/person).

No refunds are available for onsite training bookings.

Rescheduling with 72+ hours notice: You may reschedule your onsite training for free if you provide at least 72 hours advance notice before the scheduled training date.

Cancellation with less than 72 hours notice: Cancellations made with less than 72 hours notice will forfeit the full booking amount. No refund or credit will be issued.

3. Online Courses

This section applies to the following products:

ServSafe Online Course & Exam ($179)
ServSafe Allergen Online Course ($25)
• ServSafe Alcohol Online Course (coming soon)

All online course purchases are final and non-refundable. Once a course license key has been delivered via email, no refunds, exchanges, or credits are available.

Course access period: You have 90 days from the date of activation to complete the course. After 90 days, the course will be deactivated and access will be revoked. No extension or refund will be provided for expired courses.

License key issues: If you experience technical issues with your license key or are unable to access the course, contact us immediately at 978-710-0128 or hello@bostonfoodsafety.com and we will resolve the issue.

4. Physical Products (Books)

This section applies to the ServSafe Manager Book 9th Edition ($54.99).

All book sales are final. No refunds or exchanges once the book has been shipped.

Damaged or incorrect items: If you receive a damaged or incorrect book, contact us within 7 days of delivery at 978-710-0128 or hello@bostonfoodsafety.com. We will ship a replacement at no additional cost.

Lost packages: If your book does not arrive within 10 business days of the shipping notification, contact us and we will initiate a USPS investigation and ship a replacement if the package is confirmed lost.

5. Payment Methods

In-person classes and exams: Credit/debit card, cash, or check (payable to Boston Food Safety).

Online courses and books: Credit/debit card only. Online payment is required for instant delivery of course license keys and order processing.

6. ServSafe Retesting Policy

If you do not pass the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Exam, you may retake it subject to the following ServSafe retesting rules:

• You may take the exam 2 times within a 30-day period.

• If a 3rd attempt is required, you must wait at least 60 days from your last attempt.

• No more than 4 attempts are allowed in a 12-month period.

A new exam fee applies for each retake. No refunds are provided for failed exams.

8. Changes to This Policy

Boston Food Safety reserves the right to update this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction.
