ServSafe is a food and beverage safety training and certificate program administered by the National Restaurant Association (NRA). The program is accredited by ANSI and the Conference for Food Protection. ServSafe offers following certifications:

US Food Code developed by
Food and Drug Administration (FDA). ServSafe certifications are designed to educate food service workers about preventing foodborne illness and food allergies. It also educates employees and restaurant owners on how to maintain facilities such as cleanliness, sanitizing and pest control.
Who needs ServSafe certificates?
Most states require ServSafe or similar certifications if your serve food to public. Food safety certifications are required If you serve food at your business, you must have a certified food manager working for you. Certification is also part of the process for getting a food service permit.
Do I have to attend a class or food safety training before I can take the Food Safety Manager Exam?
It varies from State to State. Massachusetts does not require training. Contact your local health department for certification and training requirements.

What is the class schedule?
Boston Food Safety offers morning and afternoon classes. Online training can be done at your convenience from your home or office.
Morning class schedule:
10:00 AM to 1:30 PM: Instructor led classroom training
2:00 PM to 4:00 PM: Exam
Afternoon class schedule:
3:00 PM to 6:30 PM: Instructor led classroom training
6:30 PM to 8:30 PM: Exam
Short lunch and bathroom breaks are provided with each class schedule.
Private onsite class schedule can be as per your needs. We can start as early as 7:00 AM or as late as 5:00 PM.
What is included in the training? Do I need to buy a ServSafe 7th Edition book?
Our training and exam packages include study guide (pdf format) and access to practice tests. Study guide and classroom training covers all the core food safety guidelines. Buying 7th Edition Food Protection Manager book is optional and not required. Training and study materials provided are enough to understand core food safety principals and pass the certification exams.
